Beloved Adora
Adora - a women’s design clothing line - was conceived in Dallas,
Texas by Alison Edalere-Gordon and Michelle Wedderburn in 2004. As
a homegrown business, Alison and Michelle are involved in the process
every step of the way. They sketch, hand select fabrics, and baby
sit every aspect of each concept until it is complete. They take great
pride in what they do. This includes traveling to other countries
to find the perfect accessories to compliment a dress, pair of pants
or just to be loved as is. Adora is currently run out of Dallas, TX,
where it sells to consumers via shows and events. Adora also sells
wholesale direct to boutiques and via apparel markets (wholesale pricing
available upon request). Adora’s collections offer a fun mix
of flirty halter dresses, classic cut dresses, handmade leather shawls/ponchos,
an earthy mix of jewelry, leather accessories, skirts, sailor pants
and other signature pieces.

Michelle Wedderburn
A 30-something year old, with a lot of ideas and entrepreneurial desires
has had the opportunity to travel to many parts of the US, Canada,
and Europe and would describe her personality as what you see is what
you get. She is a good listener, optimistically creative, open to
new experiences, new foods, new ideas and always new clothes. Adora
allows her a creative outlet that challenges her abilities, entrepreneurial
spirit, and many other aspects of her personality while providing
an alternative outlet from the everyday norms of Corporate America.

Alison Edalere-Gordon
Alison’s in her thirties and has worked in corporate America
for many years doing project, account and team management in the field
of technology. Although she has enjoyed and has had success on that
track, she also spent many years day-dreaming about what life would
have been like if she had graduated with a degree in fashion design
as opposed to a Bachelors in MIS. Shortly after turning 30, Alison
met Michelle. They quickly became friends and had many conversations
over lunch about what addition and interests and pursuits. Those conversations
become more specific to a women’s design line and eventually
Adora became a reality. After the birth of Alison’s first child
those ideas became more of a commitment, so they spent months researching,
fine-tuning, and laying the groundwork for an eventual launch. Adora
sells to clients directly at shows and events and via Boutique Partners.
